Our Process

How we bring your garden to life

A clear, collaborative journey from first conversation to flourishing garden.

Consultation & Brief

We visit your garden, listen to how you want to use it, assess the ecology, and discuss budgets and timelines. This first conversation shapes everything.

Site Survey & Analysis

Detailed measurements, soil tests, and a full ecological survey of existing plants, wildlife, aspect, and drainage. We get to know your garden deeply.

Concept Design

We present a garden master plan, planting palette, and material choices. We refine together until the design feels right — visually and ecologically.

Detailed Design & Planning

Finalised planting plans, construction drawings, and material schedules. We source everything from sustainable, local suppliers where possible.

Build & Plant

Our skilled landscapers and horticulturists bring the design to life — building, planting, and finishing with meticulous attention to detail.

Aftercare & Growth

We don't disappear after planting. Our aftercare programme ensures your garden establishes beautifully, with seasonal visits and ongoing support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions, answered

What areas do you cover?
We're based in Bristol and work primarily across the city and surrounding areas within a 25-mile radius — including Bath, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset. For larger or particularly interesting projects, we're happy to discuss travelling further.
How long does a typical garden project take?
This depends on the scope. A planting-focused refresh might take 3–4 weeks from consultation to completion, while a full garden design and build typically runs 8–16 weeks. We give you a realistic timeline at the design stage and keep you informed throughout.
Are the sample prices on your packages final?
No — the prices shown are starting points for guidance. Every garden is unique, so we quote individually after understanding your space, needs, and the project scope. The final quote includes all design, materials, plants, and labour with transparent itemised costs.
What makes your approach eco-friendly?
Everything: 100% peat-free compost, prioritising native and pollinator-friendly species, using reclaimed and locally sourced materials, installing permeable surfaces and rain gardens for sustainable drainage, composting green waste on-site, and designing for long-term ecological balance rather than short-term impact.
Can you work with an existing garden, or do you start from scratch?
Both! We love working with established plants and features, integrating them into new designs wherever possible. Preserving mature plants and existing habitats is a key part of our sustainable philosophy. We'll never recommend removing a healthy tree or shrub without good reason.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance after the project?
Yes. We offer seasonal maintenance contracts and aftercare programmes ranging from one-off seasonal visits to year-round care. This ensures your garden establishes well and continues to thrive. Many of our clients move to a rolling seasonal maintenance plan after their project completes.
How does the consultation work?
The initial consultation is a no-obligation visit to your garden. We'll walk the space together, discuss your vision and needs, take notes and photos, and give you honest first impressions. After the visit, we send a summary and suggested next steps. There's no pressure to proceed.
